Pumpkin Patch Time

This year we had amazing mid-70's weather for our annual Pumpkin Patch visit!  John, Adia, and I met Amber, Hannah, and Alivia for a pumpkin patch playdate.  We were a little late, since when tried to leave, we found a bolt from the new barn in my flat front tire!  Thankfully, we were able to get it patched up in 20 minutes at Cenex and were on our way.

We played on the hay bale piles, and went on the Spooky Trail walk.  John really got frightened in the tunnel, but Mom was there to rescue him.   There was a maze at the end of the Spooky Trail, and then we played on the playground equipment.  Next we went through the petting zoo.  Adia liked the llama, and John liked the little goats.  While we were washing hands we had a small panic attack when John walked off into the corn maze and it took a couple minutes (of course which felt like hours) to find him.  Next we were off to the bounce pits, and had a little late lunch break of hots dogs, chips, filled cookies, and soda.  We watched the pumpkin cannon a few times, and took a hay covered wagon ride.  Amber helped the kids with the "rotten apple" sling shots, which was Adia's favorite part of the trip.  Lastly, we picked out this years pumpkins to carve, and we loaded the crew back into our trucks.  A fun time had by all!

That is such a fun place! We've really missed having a place like that to go to. It looks like they've added on since we moved. I don't remember the petting zoo or the cool entrance to the maze. I love the pumpkin cannon...so fun!

Ooohhh...that makes me miss Wisconsin! Remember the kissing pictures we took there of Adia and Harry? So cute! I don't know if they would pose for that picture now. I am sure Harry would be willing, but probably not Adia. She looks like she is getting so mature. It does look like tons of fun though! Wish we could visit at this time of year! Maybe next year!

We were just looking at those pictures the other day in the photo album! Harry and Adia are also hugging at Irvine Park. Too cute. We really enjoy the annual pumpkin patch visit. Seems like they add something new every year!
