Russel Memorial Campground 2010

Lake Arbutus

We camped at Russel Memorial Campground with about 40 family and friends for Memorial Weekend. Besides our regular camping crew, we brought our neighbor Rob and his two kids Taylor and Henry with. My sister Amber, Scott and their girls Hannah and Alivia also pitched a tent for night, and we celebrated Hannah's 7th birthday when Mom and Buck drove down.

We always have a great time at Russel Memorial, but it was so WARM this year! It was like July. I don't think we've ever swam Memorial weekend before. The water is just too cold usually. It was wonderful! Besides swimming in Lake Arbutus, there is a huge playground, an ice cream shoppe that we hit every day on the way back from swimming, the kids like riding their bikes, and with so many families there was always something to do or someone to play with. We ate lots of yummy grilled foods, and of course roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. I didn't have my camera out nearly enough, but we have some pictures to share. It was a nice long weekend with 100% family time!

Boy am I ever behind. When did Ella start walking!? Seems like she was just born! I love that last pic of all the kids with their DS around the campfire. Very cute!

Fun, fun.
